We’re delighted to share the release of The Continuing Witness of the Missional Church: Reflections on Darrell Guder’s Life and Teaching, now available online and at your local bookstore.

For over a decade, Dr. Darrell Guder has served as a Senior Fellow at the Centre for Missional Leadership at St. Andrew’s Hall. His wisdom, encouragement, and theological imagination have helped shape not only our faculty and programs, but also the wider conversation on what it means to be the church in a post-Christendom world.

This new festschrift honours that legacy. It brings together a remarkable group of pastors, theologians, and leaders — each who have been impacted by Darrell in different ways — to reflect on the continuing trajectory of the missional church.

The essays are organized around four key themes:

  1. Missional theology shaping the church and world
  2. Missional theology shaping specific communities
  3. Missional theology shaping discipleship
  4. Missional theology shaping vocation

Contributors include Rev. Dr. Ross A. Lockhart, Andrea Perrett, Tim Dickau, Albert Chu, Grant and Konnie Vissers, Corey Schlosser-Hall, and many more. Their reflections speak to both Darrell’s personal impact and the broader movement he has helped foster.

Darrell’s wisdom, encouragement, mentorship, and friendship in the gospel has meant the world to me. My thanks to the amazing contributors who help reflect both on Darrell’s legacy as well as the future trajectory of the missional church conversation.
