Project and Communications Coordinator at the Centre for Missional Leadership

The Centre for Missional Leadership (Vancouver) is seeking a Project and Communications Coordinator for 25 hours per week. This person coordinates administration and communications for the CML.

Remuneration is at $30.50 per hour for 25 hours per week, and includes extended health, dental and pension. Two weeks of paid leave are provided. The role starts on June 1, 2026. 

The Project and Communications Coordinator is a member of the Centre for Missional Leadership team, and a staff member of St Andrew’s Hall (at the University of British Columbia). This person is responsible for the development and delivery of administration processes for CML projects and events, and the development and delivery of consistent, creative, and effective media communication.

The Centre for Missional Leadership (CML) is a community of missional practitioners and thinkers that offers training and rejuvenation for Christian leaders. For those navigating ministry challenges in Canada’s post-Christian context, we are a missional leadership community where leaders can experience transformation through sustained theological reflection. We combine theological depth with pastoral experience, inviting leaders into cohort-based learning, online courses, peer connection, and sustained reflection grounded in biblical theology. The CML resides, physically and operationally, within St Andrew’s Hall, the Presbyterian College at UBC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In collaboration with the Director of the CML, the Project and Communications Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Working collaboratively with the CML team to develop CML vision and strategies;
  • Participating in CML monthly team meetings and occasional team retreats;
  • Liaising with St Andrew’s staff for administrative purposes such as: use of facilities, finances, shared events;
  • Developing and implementing efficient administrative processes for the CML, including: event and program coordination; shared document storage; arranging hospitality; collaborating with other St Andrew’s Hall staff; administrative aspects of filmed course production; being present for and assisting at CML events; being relationally present to program participants;
  • Developing and implementing excellent communication strategies for the CML to promote and enhance the programs, events, and initiatives of the CML. This includes: managing the CML website: using CRM applications; facilitating relationships with CML’s growing network; liaising with partners such as videographers, photographers, and website managers; promoting CML programs through emails and social media; producing promotional material;
  • Liaising and collaborating with the Dean’s Executive Assistant regarding communications and social media of St. Andrew’s Hall beyond the focus of CML;
  • Managing the CML’s online courses. This includes: managing online content; liaising with teachers as material is developed; organising online cohorts of students who take the course; coordinating income and expenses for courses;
  • Other tasks, as assigned by the Director;
  • This role includes occasional work on Saturdays and evenings.
